Counselling and Psychotherapy in Greenwich & Online

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck or just not like yourself?

Life can feel heavy sometimes, especially when you are carrying things no one else can see. You might be navigating anxiety, the after effects of trauma, relationship struggles or simply a sense that something isn't right.

If you are here, perhaps you are ready to explore what's going on beneath the surface, or maybe you're not quite sure, and that's ok too. You don't have to have it all figured out to begin.

How can Counselling help?

Therapy offers a space for just you - somewhere to slow down, reflect and feel supported without judgement. Together, we can gently explore what's been holding you back, what you've been carrying and how you would like things to be different. Clients often tell me they feel more grounded, more able to understand themselves, and feel true to who they are.

I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist in Greenwich, South East London.

Welcome

I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist based in Greenwich, south east London. I offer person-centred, trauma informed therapy and clinical supervision for adults, counselling trainees and qualified therapists. I specialise in supporting parent/carers after child sexual abuse.

I work with clients across London and also offer online therapy throughout the UK.

Counselling and Psychotherapy in Greenwich SE10

As a psychotherapy in Greenwich I work with adults experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, low self-esteem and life challenges. My approach is primarily Person-centred, supported by integrative ways of working, allowing therapy to be shaped around your individual needs.

I have a particular specialism in trauma and work sensitively and safely to help you process difficult experiences, feel more grounded, and regain a sense of stability and control.

Clinical Supervision for Counsellors & Trainees

I provide reflective, supportive clinical supervision for both trainees and qualified practitioners. My supervision approach is collaborative and developmentally supportive, encouraging ethical practice, self awareness, and personal growth.

I have experience providing clinical supervision for counselling trainees and managing a counselling service supporting both qualified and trainees on placement.

Support for Parents and Carers

For those supporting a child affected by sexual abuse

I specialise in supporting parents and carers after child sexual abuse offering a space to process trauma, guilt and overwhelm. This space is for you, somewhere you can talk openly, feel heard, and be supported without judgement.

With over 9 years' experience providing therapy and parent support groups, I help caregivers process overwhelming emotions, understand the impact of trauma on their child, and feel more confident in how they support their family.

This experience has given me a deep understanding of the emotional impact on families, and how important it is for caregivers to feel supported, informed, and not alone.

When something like this happens, many parents and carers are left carrying overwhelming feelings - shock, anger, guilt, fear, confusion, or simply not knowing what to do next. You may feel exhausted, isolated, or unsure how best to support your child while also coping yourself. Counselling can help you process what has happened, make sense of complex feelings, and feel more emotionally steady during an incredibly difficult time.

You can read more about this in my blog on supporting parents after child sexual abuse.

I offer a safe therapy space in Greenwich SE10, where we can meet. I will listen with sensitivity and empathy, and without judgement. In the space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.

Each person and situation is unique; we can work in an open ended way if you are unsure how many sessions you would like - I offer both short and long term therapy. Together we can review how many sessions you may like

How do online sessions work?

Online counselling sessions work much like in-person sessions but take place via video call or phone depending on what feels most comfortable for you. Here’s how it typically works:

  1. Booking a Session – I offer a free 15 minute consultation, within this consultation You can schedule a session at a time that suits you.
  2. Choosing a Platform – Therapy sessions are held on a secure platforms - Googlemeets, to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
  3. Creating a Comfortable Space – You’ll need a quiet, private place where you feel safe to talk freely. Using headphones can help with focus and privacy.
  4. Starting the Session – The therapy session will begin with a check-in, and you’ll be guided in exploring your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I will offer support, reflection, and empathy without judgment.
  5. Ending and Reflection – At the end of the session, you might reflect on what came up and discuss any next steps, whether that’s booking another session or trying strategies between sessions.

Online sessions can be just as effective as in-person ones, offering flexibility and accessibility while still providing the same level of care and support.

How will I feel after my counselling sessions?

How you feel after a counselling session can vary depending on what was discussed and where you are in your journey. Some common experiences include:

Relief & Clarity – Talking things through in a safe space can feel like a weight has been lifted, bringing greater understanding and self-awareness.

Emotional Release – You might feel emotional, especially if deep feelings were explored. This is completely normal and part of the healing process.

Empowerment & Hope – Gaining insight and feeling heard can help you feel more in control, hopeful, or motivated to make changes.

Tired or Drained – Processing emotions can be mentally and physically exhausting, so it’s important to give yourself time to rest afterward.

Everyone’s experience is unique, and feelings may shift over time. It can help to be gentle with yourself after a session—maybe take a walk, journal, or do something comforting.

Monthly Tip | What is anxiety?

Anxiety is a natural response to stress, danger or uncertainty. It's a feeling of worry, fear or nervousness.

While occasionally anxiety is normal, persistent or overwhelming anxiety can interfere with daily life.

Common symptoms include:

  • Excess worrying
  • Rapid heartbeat or shortness of breath
  • Restlessness or feeling on edge
  • Trouble sleeping or concentrating

Tips to manage anxiety:

  • Practice deep breathing: try the 4-7-8 method: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8. This helps calm the nervous system.
  • Move your body: Exercise, Yoga or even a short walk can release tension and boost mood.
  • Limit caffeine & sugar: These can increase anxiety symptoms.
  • Challenge negative thoughts: Ask yourself - "Is this thought true? Is there another way to see it?"
  • Get enough rest: Sleep is crucial for emotional balance. Create a bedtime routine to improve sleep quality.
  • Talk to someone: You don't have to do this alone. A friend, family member, or therapist can help.
